The star is the Brisket and pulled pork which is wonderful and really tender. Potato salad is good. Baked beans are simple and tasty. Macaroni and cheese is okay. Cornbread is moist. Garlic bread is chewy and good. Great selection of Beers on tap. Order outside and eat inside or outside. The one thing that really bothered me and made us leave was the amount of flies inside the restaurant. They were 4-5 big ones constantly buzzing and trying to land on our food. It was hard to enjoy the experience. I recommend take out.
Tried this spot yesterday and was impressed with the quick service. I placed my order at 1:15 pm, food delivered within 10 minutes and by 1:40 pm, I was basically done eating. I think this place has really good pricing - these two dishes after tax and tip were about $45. I tried the mac and cheese with brisket and my husband got the trip-tip meal with mac and cheese and potato salad sides. Plenty of parking and seating at this spot in Gilroy. My plate was large enough to take home my leftovers, and I was even able to share it with my dad. Definitely fills the spot when you're hungry in Gilroy. I'm not in the area much but I'd come back here if I wanted some bang for my buck and quick service!
Came here on a Tuesday and it was empty so no lines. Service was quick and the food was good! I'm not a bbq expert but will definitely be back for their Mac and cheese!
Yum! Great lunch find. I asked the waitress which meat was the best, the brisket was her first and quickest answer. I went with Cole slaw and Mac and cheese. The brisket was good, not the juiciest but flavorful. The spicy sauce was great. The Cole slaw was ok, if I went back I would try the beans. The Mac and cheese was tasty...not typical American cheese. Good value though!
Today was a TRI TIP day. Solo inside the restaurant. The AC was on & plenty of seats available the the soda drinking machine was in full operation mode. The large Tri Tip was cruising for a serious FOOD COMA. I had to give my pillow at home some HEAD. It was delish. Muy Bueno!! Que Rico la comida. The music they had playing was some old Dixie land blues music. Not many restaurants have that kind of music playing. I was totally happy. Next time I got to bring my sister, then mom, then some friends then......
TRI-TIP... PECAN PIE (when available)... CORNBREAD... MAC n' CHEESE... Did I say TRI-TIP??! Really can't miss with what you order here, especially the ribs... and tri-tip!!!
The brisket here is pretty good! The cuts I got were pretty lean, but not dry. Well seasoned and I loved the barbeque sauce options too. Not too sweet. I definitely recommend pairing it with the potato salad! Really tasty. Tastes homemade even. I definitely want to come back and try a rack of ribs or some dessert next time I'm in town. FYI - Tons of seating! Indoor and outdoor. We came here at 6 PM on a Friday and there was no problem finding a seat. Pretty good spot to bring groups.
Quick trip to Gilroy shopping and late afternoon we were starving. We had a dog with us so outdoor seating is important. We're happy they have a large outdoor space. Ordered the family pack of ribs and brisket. Supposed to be good for 3-4 people but we both finished it no problem. We even ordered extra garlic bread. Corn bread was nice and moist. Meats were good but nothing stands out about it. Mac n cheese and coleslaw sides were good too. I love the addition of pickled veggies. The service was very good. They have tons of beer in the menu. Place is clean. Parking available.
